A mother shared her harrowing experience of almost losing her life following a failed Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgery that resulted in a significant wound on her buttocks.

Josephina Finch, seeking a more shapely figure, traveled to Spain for the BBL procedure in October 2024, believing it to be a safer option than Turkey. Despite paying around £6,000 for the BBL and implants, she began feeling unwell a week after the painful surgery and returned to the clinic. There, she experienced fluid gushing out of a wound in her buttocks, indicating an infected implant.

After enduring eight more days until the surgeon returned from vacation to remove the implants, Josephina flew back home only to suffer from nerve pain in her leg. Suspecting a blood clot, she sought medical help and was diagnosed with a large blood clot in her leg.

Concern escalated as she experienced sharp chest pains following the blood thinners’ intake, prompting her to rush to the hospital. Doctors warned that the blood clot could potentially move to her lung, emphasizing that her quick action likely saved her life.

Regretting her decision, Josephina now advocates for natural methods like weightlifting at the gym to achieve body goals instead of seeking quick fixes. She expressed guilt and health anxiety over the risky procedure, emphasizing that the experience has forever changed her perspective on cosmetic enhancements.
