Kelly Clarkson’s dispute with a boutique in Brooklyn regarding a mechanical bird has taken a costly turn, with the shop now listing the bird, named “Molly,” for sale at a staggering $15 million. The co-owner of Art of Play, Adam Rubin, made this decision amidst the ongoing public clash with the pop star. If the bird is sold, Rubin plans to reward each shop employee with $15,000 and pay the creator, Bliss Kolb, $1 million. The remaining funds will be used to acquire other vintage automata pieces.

The shop’s response to the situation has attracted significant attention online, leading to a surge in both visitors and criticism from Kelly Clarkson’s fans. Rubin expressed concerns for the safety of the shop and its staff, attributing the heightened risk to Clarkson’s actions.

Footage of Clarkson’s visit to the store on October 13, captured by independent journalist Pablo Torre, shows her browsing and eventually leaving the store. The incident started when Clarkson claimed to have been treated poorly during her visit, likening the experience to a scene from the movie “Pretty Woman.”

In response, the boutique clarified that the bird in question was not for sale, leading to a back-and-forth exchange on social media between Clarkson and the shop. The situation escalated when Clarkson posted a photo showing a price tag of $15,000 next to a similar bird, refuting the shop’s claims.

Despite attempts to explain the misunderstanding, tensions continued to rise, with both parties sharing their perspectives online. The incident has sparked debate on social media platforms, with users offering varied opinions on the matter and the importance of fair treatment in retail interactions.
