Sir Bruce Forsyth’s magnificent mansion is finally being unveiled, nearly a decade after his passing. The beloved TV icon entertained audiences for more than 75 years with popular shows such as The Generation Game, Play Your Cards Right, and Strictly Come Dancing. After retiring from hosting duties in April 2014, Sir Bruce passed away in 2017 at the age of 89 due to bronchial pneumonia at his lavish Wentworth Estate residence, which was later sold by his widow Wilnelia for £5.7 million in April 2020.
Following the sale, the opulent property has remained unoccupied and sadly fallen into disrepair. With the upcoming launch of the Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour in Birmingham this weekend, we take a peek inside the deserted mansion of the legendary presenter.
For the past six years, Sir Bruce’s former estate at Wentworth has been shielded by imposing metal gates, with neighbors raising concerns about overgrown moss and weeds surrounding the premises. Wilnelia Forsyth opted to sell the estate to a businesswoman as she downsized to a smaller residence.
Nestled in the estate’s garden is a quaint cottage, while the once vibrant tennis court and gardens have been neglected since Lady Forsyth’s departure. Situated within an exclusive neighborhood, the luxurious mansion has housed notable personalities like Dame Judi Dench and Angelina Jolie in nearby properties.
The grand residence boasts ten reception rooms, a cinema, a library, a wine cellar, a gym, and a swimming pool, complemented by a private spa area overlooking the picturesque gardens.
