Emergency services responded to an incident at Rochester Castle in the UK, where a man in his 50s fell from a height on Thursday morning. The man suffered injuries to his chest, femur, and ankle and was swiftly transported to King’s College Hospital for medical attention.

Kent Police received a call at 9:33 am regarding the incident at Castle Hill, Rochester. They collaborated with the South East Coast Ambulance Service to assist the man, who was later transferred to a London hospital for treatment.

During the rescue operation, three fire engines and specialized units from Kent Fire and Rescue Service were present. They worked alongside paramedics to safely extract the individual, who was then handed over to SECAmb for further care.

The historical Rochester Castle, constructed in the 1080s, played a vital role in overseeing a significant river crossing. Over the years, it witnessed three sieges, including a notable attack by King John in 1215 that resulted in damage to part of the structure. Despite its decline as a royal stronghold in later centuries, the castle remains a prominent reminder of medieval authority and architectural prowess.
