Greetings Europe. To commemorate 70 years of the renowned Eurovision Song Contest, the inaugural live tour has been unveiled, promising an absence of ‘nul points’. Legendary performers from the competition’s seven-decade history will grace the stage alongside 10 fresh acts from the 2026 contest held in May. Commencing at London’s 02 Arena on June 15, the tour will traverse 10 European cities, including Hamburg, Milan, and Paris, culminating in Stockholm, Sweden, on July 2. Surprise guest appearances are also expected at each tour date. The roster of 2026 artists will be confirmed by the European Broadcasting Union post this year’s grand final in Vienna, Austria, on May 16. Participants in the tour will showcase their original Eurovision entries and cover songs from the past 70 years.
Although the lineup remains unconfirmed, enthusiasts are eager to witness icons like Conchita Wurst, Lordi, Loreen, and the UK’s Bucks Fizz among the featured legends. The UK’s history in the contest includes five victories, starting with Sandie Shaw’s “Puppet on a String” in 1967 and culminating with Katrina and the Waves’ “Love Shine A Light” in 1997. While Sam Ryder’s “Space Man” secured an impressive second place in 2022, subsequent performances have seen a decline, with Olly Alexander’s “Dizzy” receiving no public votes in 2024, and Remember Monday’s “What the Hell Just Happened?” garnering zero viewer points last year, although they secured 19th place thanks to jury votes out of 28. Eurovision Song Contest director Martin Green expressed, “With the 70th anniversary of the Eurovision Song Contest, we aimed to create a truly exceptional and unique event – the Eurovision Song Contest live tour perfectly embodies that vision.
“This groundbreaking tour encapsulates the contest’s evolution – from a televised phenomenon to an engaging live experience – showcasing a format that celebrates our illustrious past while looking towards the future. “For the first time ever, we are delivering the enchantment of the Eurovision Song Contest directly to fans, their friends, and families all over Europe. This is an opportunity to celebrate the music, the artists, and the community that have shaped the Eurovision Song Contest over seven extraordinary decades.” James O’Brien, CEO of Progress Productions, commented, “Curating this concert series is a tremendous privilege. “The Eurovision Song Contest has produced some of the most memorable musical performances in history, and we are thrilled to bring that vibrancy to arenas across Europe in 2026. “This tour will be a tribute to everything that makes the Eurovision Song Contest iconic.” Last year’s shows attracted 175 million viewers worldwide.
