Iranian Authorities Transfer Millions Amid Regime Collapse Fears

Desperate Iranian authorities have reportedly transferred significant amounts of money to prepare for a potential collapse of the regime, despite the current suppression of public unrest. The funds have been redirected to banks in Dubai and other locations out of concern that the Iranian banking system may fail, leading to the possible downfall of the oppressive government in Tehran.

One notable individual involved in this financial maneuver is Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of the Ayotollah, who allegedly moved around £250 million in US dollars to a bank in Dubai as a precautionary measure. These revelations come from a recent report by the US-based Critical Threats Organisation, which indicates that while the recent protests have been quelled, the sustained deployment of security forces to control the situation, resulting in thousands of deaths and arrests, is unsustainable.

Reports suggest that numerous protesters have been detained in harsh conditions, with some facing imminent execution. Despite conflicting estimates of the death toll, human rights organizations believe the number could be substantial, ranging from 2,500 to potentially exceeding 20,000. The Critical Threat report also highlights preparations for a potential US military strike on Iran, which was called off following assurances from the secretive Tehran government to President Donald Trump.

The report warns that the current strategy of heavy security deployment to suppress dissent is not sustainable and could lead to a resurgence of protests in the future. Iranian leaders are allegedly moving their US currency reserves overseas, indicating a lack of confidence in the domestic banking system and raising concerns about the regime’s stability. The regime is attempting to reframe the protests as acts of terrorism and portraying itself as a victim, likening the demonstrators to ISIS.

There are fears of a regional conflict escalating, as Israel may not be ready for potential retaliatory actions by Iran, including threats from Lebanese Hezbollah. Despite concerns about a full-scale conflict, the Critical Threat report suggests that Hezbollah may hesitate to engage in direct actions that could trigger a broader war. The protests have persisted for over two weeks, resulting in widespread chaos and violence as security forces struggle to maintain control.
