Union Saint-Gilloise confirmed that David will be transitioning to the Premier League starting from the upcoming season, setting a new record fee for the Belgian club. The 25-year-old forward arrives at Brighton following a successful stint at Union, where he netted 41 goals in 82 appearances, aiding the team in securing their first league title in 90 years back in 2025. David, who extended his contract until June 2029 last year, also represented Canada at the recent World Cup, contributing a goal despite limited playing time due to a hip injury.
