A manhunt is in progress for a suspected murderer accused of killing three individuals, including his pregnant ex-partner. Authorities in New South Wales, Australia, are searching for Julian Ingram, also known as Pierpoint, aged 37, in connection with the alleged triple homicide in Lake Cargelligo on January 22.
Before the incident, police confirmed that Ingram had been released on bail for charges related to domestic violence. The Sydney Morning Herald identified Sophie Quinn, 24, and her companion John Harris, 32, as the victims who were shot while driving in Lake Cargelligo.
The shooting occurred around 4:30 pm on Bokhara Street. Subsequently, Ingram reportedly proceeded to a residence in the town and shot Sophie’s aunt, Nerida Quinn, 50. Another individual, Kaled Macqueen, 19, was also shot on the driveway of the Walker Street property and sustained serious injuries.
Following their separation, Ingram allegedly assaulted Quinn and had been granted bail on November 30 after facing charges of stalking, intimidation, common assault. He pleaded not guilty to the charges and was scheduled to appear in court on February 3. As part of his bail conditions, Ingram was required to report to local authorities daily and was prohibited from contacting or being near Quinn.
Authorities disclosed that Ingram had a domestic relationship with one of the victims and emphasized that he did not possess a gun license. Efforts to locate the suspect are ongoing, with a description indicating that he is of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, approximately 165cm-170cm tall, with a medium build, short dark hair, and brown eyes.
The last sighting of Ingram was in a Ford Ranger utility vehicle with NSW registration DM-07-GZ, described as having council signage, a metal tray back, high visibility markings on the side, and an emergency light bar on the roof. In response to the incident, a significant police presence has been deployed in the small Australian town, with 100 officers actively searching for the individual.
NSW Police Assistant Commissioner Andy Holland advised residents of Lake Cargelligo to remain indoors, avoid windows, and report any suspicious activities, including in their yards or involving suspicious vehicles, to the authorities. Holland expressed that the tragic event in the close-knit community would have a profound impact on its residents.
