Coronation Street icon Beverley Callard has received overwhelming support from fans following her recent update on her new role in the soap opera.

The 68-year-old actress rose to fame in the 1980s portraying Liz McDonald on the popular ITV show. For three decades, she was a pivotal character involved in numerous significant storylines, ranging from romantic escapades to intense conflicts.

In a surprising turn of events in 2019, Beverley saddened soap enthusiasts by announcing her departure from the series. A year later, the beloved character bid farewell to the show.

Since then, Beverley has been actively engaged in various projects. In 2020, she participated in the reality show “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!” and secured a travel program alongside fellow contestant Jordan North.

Notably, Beverley recently made a comeback to the soap world by joining the cast of the Irish series Fair City. In her new role as Lily, Gwen’s long-lost mother, she is presently filming in Dublin and regularly updating fans through Instagram.

However, in a recent Instagram video, Beverley disclosed feeling under the weather during her time in Dublin due to a cold. Expressing her love for Yorkshire Tea, she humorously blamed the lack of the tea brand at work for her current ailment, seeking recommendations on where to find it in Dublin.

Her post quickly garnered supportive messages from fans, wishing her a speedy recovery and expressing concern for her well-being.

Coronation Street can be watched on ITV1 and ITVX from Monday to Friday at 8:30 pm.
