The latest rankings of the priciest streets in the UK have been disclosed by property platform Rightmove, with just one street located outside of London.
Securing the top position for the most expensive street is Winnington Road in Barnet, London, boasting an average asking price of £12,538,095.
Following closely behind is Chester Square in Westminster, London, with an average asking price of £11,546,428, and The Bishops Avenue in Barnet, London, ranking third at £8,930,650.
Moving beyond London, East Road in Elmbridge, Surrey, emerges as the costliest street outside the capital, standing at an average price of £8,795,714 and the sole non-London address within the top 20 list.
In Scotland, Drumsheugh Gardens in Edinburgh takes the lead with a price tag of £560,000, while Hollybush Road in Cardiff claims the top spot in Wales at £1,237,500.
The rankings are based on data from Rightmove, encompassing streets where at least five properties were listed for sale in January this year.
Colleen Babcock, a property specialist at Rightmove, remarked, “The most expensive streets in Britain consistently draw public interest, and this year sees Winnington Road in North London reclaiming the title of the most expensive street in the country based on asking prices.”
She added, “The majority of this year’s top 20 list comprises addresses in London, showcasing the city’s dominance in the luxury property market. However, for buyers seeking prestigious locations beyond London, Elmbridge in Surrey stands out as the only area outside the capital to feature in the top 20 list.”
