The upcoming Masters Champions Dinner, a highly exclusive event in the world of golf, is just around the corner with Rory McIlroy revealing his specially curated menu for the esteemed gathering. Among the appetizers are Rosie’s dates stuffed with goat’s cheese, a dish that holds sentimental value as it features his mother’s recipes.
McIlroy clinched the Green Jacket nearly a year ago, achieving the career Grand Slam after a thrilling final round victory over Justin Rose. As part of his triumph, he will host the iconic champions dinner at Augusta National next month, where Scottie Scheffler will uphold his own personal dining traditions.
Recently, McIlroy disclosed the dinner menu, offering the guests a choice between Wagyu Filet Mignon and seared salmon as the main course options. This exclusive event, known as the Masters Club Dinner, is a highlight of the tournament week and is reserved strictly for Green Jacket winners.
Each year, the defending champion selects the menu for the dinner. In 2025, Scottie Scheffler delighted attendees with a variety of starters, including cheeseburger sliders, firecracker shrimp, and “Papa Scheff’s meatball and ravioli bites,” with a lighthearted nod to a past mishap. Previous dinners have featured diverse cuisines, such as the Japanese feast by Hideki Matsuyama in 2022 and the Spanish-inspired menu crafted by renowned chef José Andrés for Jon Rahm in 2024.
Sir Nick Faldo, a three-time Green Jacket winner, has also hosted the event, once opting for a simple fish and chips meal post his 1996 victory. Reflecting on past dinners, Faldo humorously recalled the least favored menu, spearheaded by Bubba Watson in 2024, featuring a light fare including Chuck E. Cheese-inspired items.
Despite occasional culinary surprises, Faldo emphasizes the sentimental value of the evening, noting the camaraderie, laughter, and shared memories among the esteemed champions. The Masters Champions Dinner remains a cherished and special tradition in the world of golf.
