Mark Allen graciously accepted defeat after losing the Home Nations Series bonus to Jack Lisowski. Allen humorously mentioned that he “cried himself to sleep” when the £150,000 prize slipped from his grasp.

Lisowski staged a remarkable comeback, including a break of 78 in the final frame against John Higgins, securing his spot in the final and claiming the substantial cash reward.

Initially leading the rankings throughout the Home Nations campaign, Allen missed his chance for the bonus at the Welsh Open, where he suffered a first-round loss to David Grace, leaving the door open for his competitors.

Despite expressing congratulations to Lisowski, Allen shared his disappointment on social media, acknowledging this as the fourth time in six years that he had finished in second place.

In a thrilling match against Higgins, Lisowski rallied from a 3-1 deficit to ultimately emerge victorious, demonstrating composure under pressure and a strong determination to succeed.

Reflecting on his performance, Lisowski emphasized the importance of staying focused and relentless in potting balls until securing victory, highlighting his resilience and strategic gameplay.

Looking ahead to the final against Barry Hawkins, Lisowski expressed his readiness to continue the momentum, emphasizing the need to maintain a winning mindset and stay prepared for the upcoming challenge.
