A groundbreaking roller coaster, Falcons Flight, has recently debuted at the impressive Six Flags resort in Qiddiya City, Saudi Arabia. This colossal steel structure towers at a staggering 195m, overshadowing even London’s iconic Big Ben. The resort, a key feature of the extensive Qiddiya City development, is expected to attract approximately 17 million visitors annually.
Apart from Falcons Flight, the resort will offer a range of attractions, including a custom-built Formula One track, a Dragon Ball theme park, and a water park. Six Flags, a renowned operator of theme parks in the United States, was the first attraction to open its doors in this dynamic city.
During its soft launch last week, Falcons Flight not only claimed the title of the world’s tallest roller coaster, surpassing Ohio’s Top Thrill 2 at Cedar Parks, but also set records as the fastest and longest coaster globally. Construction of Falcons Flight began in April 2023, with the final piece installed by Intamin in December 2024.
Shawn Sanbrooke, a popular YouTube creator from the Themepark Worldwide channel, shared his exhilarating experience riding Falcons Flight in a recent video. He expressed awe at the ride’s design and performance, describing it as a thrilling and unforgettable adventure. Shawn also highlighted the picturesque landscape surrounding the theme park, emphasizing the significance of this monumental attraction for thrill-seekers.
Notably, Falcons Flight is not the only remarkable attraction at Six Flags. The Sirocco Tower stands as the world’s tallest freestanding shot tower, the Gyrospin is now the tallest pendulum ride, and the Iron Rattler holds the record for being the tallest tilt coaster. Additionally, the Spitfire roller coaster at Six Flags has been recognized as the world’s tallest inverted triple-launch roller coaster.
Shawn, who previously worked at theme parks, expressed his emotional connection to the new Six Flags resort, emphasizing the impact and excitement of this extraordinary venture.
