Gone are the days when our mobile phones were merely used for calls. These compact devices now pack the power of a PC and provide a complete entertainment experience. The trend of watching movies and streaming TV shows has become a significant highlight for these smartphones, particularly with top models like the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 boasting large displays.
For seamless on-the-go streaming, a fast mobile network is essential, and one provider seems to be leading the pack.
Vodafone has emerged victorious in the latest awards by Ookla’s speed-testing team. Despite a close competition, Vodafone outperformed competitors like EE, Three, and O2 to clinch the top spot overall.
The evaluation, based on millions of download tests, identified Vodafone as the leader in various categories, including the overall Video Streaming Score, Acceptable Video Start Time, and streaming video in full HD resolution.
While Vodafone excelled in most areas, it narrowly trailed Three and O2 in the Uninterrupted Playback tests.
Ookla, in its announcement, proclaimed: “Vodafone is the Best 5G Video Experience in the United Kingdom, Q1–Q2 2025.”
The Ookla Speedtest Award for Mobile Video Experience is determined by the Video Streaming Score, which encompasses various performance indicators during high-resolution video playback.
