Virgin Media has introduced a new service named Smart Support, providing free upgrades to all its internet users in the UK. The initiative offers round-the-clock assistance to ensure seamless operations year-round. Smart Support automatically monitors broadband performance, offering immediate help to customers facing speed or connectivity issues. It aims to prevent disruptions that can impact online activities like streaming and remote work.
Additionally, the service includes remote overnight fixes to apply updates or repairs without interrupting daily usage. In case of severe issues, customers may receive recommendations for WiFi Pod or Hub upgrades for enhanced whole-home coverage. Virgin Media will proactively engage with users if further assistance, such as an engineer visit, is required at no additional charge.
Gareth Lister, Director of Connectivity at Virgin Media O2, emphasized the importance of continuous network optimization to meet escalating connectivity demands. Smart Support ensures prompt issue resolution, reinforcing the company’s commitment to reliable and fast internet services. Virgin Media has confirmed the rollout of Smart Support to all customers without any extra fees.
