If you own an older Fire TV Stick connected to your TV, it’s time to think about upgrading. PC Welt reports that a popular streaming service will soon no longer be supported on aging Amazon devices, affecting the ability to watch a variety of popular shows, movies, and series.

Starting in June, three Amazon products will no longer be compatible with Netflix. The affected devices are the Amazon Fire TV Stick (2014), Amazon Fire TV Stick with Alexa voice remote (2014), and Amazon Fire TV (2014).

To continue enjoying shows like Drive to Survive, Love, Death & Robots, or Bad Thoughts, owners of the affected devices will need to upgrade to newer models like the Fire TV Stick 4K Max or Fire TV Stick 4K, available on Amazon’s website.

While Amazon has not provided a specific reason for this change, PC Welt speculates that it may be due to the older Fire TVs not supporting the AV1 codec used by Netflix to deliver higher picture quality on certain plans.

Customers with a Premium Netflix subscription on these older devices may not receive the full benefits, such as 4K resolution. To avoid this issue, Netflix has decided to end support for these devices to ensure users receive premium features.

To identify which Fire TV device you own, go to Settings > My Fire TV > About on your Fire TV. If your device is one of the following models listed below and you are a Netflix enthusiast, it’s time to consider an upgrade:

– Amazon Fire TV Stick (2014)
– Amazon Fire TV Stick with Alexa voice remote (2014)
– Amazon Fire TV (2014)
