Tyson Fury easily defeated Arslanbek Makhmudov in the presence of his rival, Anthony Joshua.

Returning from a 16-month hiatus, Fury, a former two-time heavyweight world champion, controlled the bout despite not performing at his peak. Judges unanimously scored the fight in Fury’s favor with tallies of 120-108, 120-108, and 119-109. Reflecting on his comeback, Fury expressed satisfaction with his performance, stating, “Sixteen months out, it’s a long time, but I got back to my boxing and I got a good, sharp 12 rounds there.”

Although Fury called out Anthony Joshua for a potential match, Joshua declined to step into the ring immediately. During the fight, Fury honored Ricky Hatton and sported gear bearing the former champ’s name. The match witnessed a slow start from Fury, who gradually gained momentum throughout the rounds.

Despite the crowd’s restlessness in the fifth round due to clinching, Fury outclassed Makhmudov. The fight showcased Fury’s dominance, though he was not at his absolute best. Makhmudov seemed fatigued by the middle rounds, allowing Fury to maintain control. Fury strategically targeted Makhmudov’s body and asserted his superiority in the penultimate round.

In another match, Conor Benn secured a points victory over Regis Prograis following his departure from Eddie Hearn’s management. Benn’s performance faced challenges, including sustaining cuts from headbutts, but he managed to triumph over Prograis. Additionally, Richard Riakporhe dethroned Jeamie TKV as the British heavyweight champion, while Justis Huni narrowly defeated Clarke in a closely contested bout.
