Tyrrell Hatton, a prominent LIV Golf player, expressed his frustration with the course after encountering an early setback during his final round at the Masters on Sunday. Despite starting the day at 4-under following a level par on Saturday and an impressive 66 on Friday, Hatton faced challenges.
Although he began positively with a birdie on the par-5 second hole, he later dropped a shot at the 251-yard par-3 fourth hole, which proved to be a costly mistake. His tee shot ended up just off the green, leading to a challenging two-putt situation. Hatton’s subsequent missed putt resulted in visible frustration, with the Englishman displaying signs of irritation before finally completing the hole.
Known for occasional outbursts, the 34-year-old golfer expressed his anger by exclaiming, “This place is frustrating,” as he struggled with his game. Similarly, Wyndham Clark, in a subsequent group, also let out an expletive-laden outburst after facing a similar putting error.
Despite these challenges, Hatton’s round saw improvement with a hole-out eagle on the seventh hole, followed by a birdie on the 8th, boosting his morale. Other players, like Jon Rahm from the LIV Golf team, also faced difficulties on the course, with Rahm expressing his need to make adjustments for future tournaments.
Hatton concluded his round at -10, taking the clubhouse lead as he watched competitors like Rory McIlroy and Justin Rose continue their play. The Masters coverage is set to begin on April 6, offering golf enthusiasts the opportunity to watch the event live through Sky’s Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle, which includes various channels and streaming services.
