Donald Trump and JD Vance persisted in spreading false information about the Minnesota shooting and discrediting victim Renee Good last night.

In 2026, it may seem overused to label things as “Orwellian,” but the White House’s attempt to contradict what people see and hear is hard to ignore.

The Trump administration seems unconcerned about the consequences of promoting false claims, even comparing it to a scenario where media outlets like CBS might present conflicting views as “unbiased journalism,” further influencing public opinion on various issues.

A leaked video taken by the ICE agent involved in the Minnesota incident contradicts Trump and Vance’s assertions that Good intentionally tried to hit him. The footage clearly shows Good attempting to steer away from the agent before being shot. Additionally, the video reveals the agent switching his phone from his right hand to his left hand moments before firing the fatal shots, allowing him to draw his weapon.

Despite the new evidence, JD Vance persisted in asserting that the video supported his unfounded allegation that Good was attempting to harm the ICE agent deliberately.

Vance’s insistence on his false narrative was met with skepticism as details from the video contradicted his claims. The evidence showed that the shots were fired from different angles, and the agent was not in a position to defend himself against a moving vehicle based on Department for Homeland Security guidelines.

Furthermore, Trump made controversial statements regarding the ICE agent’s actions, suggesting that voices heard in the video indicated agitation and unprofessional behavior, without substantial evidence to support his claims.

In an unrelated event, Trump met with oil and gas companies at the White House, with discussions revolving around potential involvement in the seizure of Venezuelan assets. During the meeting, Trump exhibited eccentric behavior, drawing attention to details like inspecting a future ballroom’s door and wearing a “happy Trump” pin given to him earlier.

Recent posts from the Department for Homeland Security’s account on X have raised concerns about promoting white nationalist content. Instances include posting slogans associated with white supremacist groups and historical references with racially charged undertones.

Trump also reiterated his interest in acquiring Greenland, citing strategic concerns about potential Russian or Chinese influence if the U.S. does not take control of the territory.

In another context, David Lammy and JD Vance discussed the controversy surrounding Elon Musk’s technology and its implications for creating inappropriate content involving women and children, highlighting the need for action against such misuse of technology.

Overall, the unfolding events underscore ongoing debates concerning misinformation, racial implications in official communications, and international geopolitical strategies.
