Trent Rockets player Adam Hose gave an update following his hospitalization during a game against Southern Brave in The Hundred cricket match. Hose suffered a dislocated right ankle while fielding in the first innings, causing a temporary pause in the match for 10 minutes. Medical staff quickly attended to the 32-year-old’s visibly misaligned foot before he was transported to the hospital.
The injury occurred as Hose attempted to halt Michael Bracewell’s shot, leading to an awkward fall. Despite the unfortunate incident, Hose expressed gratitude for the support he received. In a message on Instagram, he acknowledged the outpouring of well-wishes and acknowledged the challenging road to recovery ahead.
A photo shared by Hose showed his leg in a cast, elevated on a pillow, with Match of the Day playing on the TV screen. His county team, Worcestershire CCC, extended their support, wishing him a speedy recovery and promising updates on his condition.
Despite Hose’s absence, Trent Rockets successfully chased down Southern Brave’s 140-run target, securing victory with four balls remaining. Tom Moores and Tom Banton played pivotal roles in the Midlands team’s win, propelling them to second place in the standings.
The injury will likely impact Hose and his teams for the rest of the season. Earlier in June, he achieved a significant milestone by scoring his first double century in first-class cricket. His remarkable innings against Hampshire included 31 boundaries and seven sixes.
