In a tragic incident during the early hours of the morning, a devastating road collision claimed the lives of four individuals and left five others injured. The collision, believed to involve a car and a taxi, occurred around 12:45 am in Deane, Bolton, resulting in the destruction of two vehicles on a residential street.
Photographs from the scene depicted the aftermath, showing severe damage to a Citroen C4 Picasso, with the front completely obliterated and the right doors ripped off. The other vehicle involved, a red Seat Leon, had its bumper torn off and the right side severely damaged. The area was swiftly cordoned off as a significant presence of police and emergency services arrived at the scene.
According to Greater Manchester Police, two 18-year-old men and a 19-year-old man lost their lives in the Seat car, while the driver of the Citroen, a man in his 50s, also tragically passed away. Five injured passengers were transported to the hospital for treatment.
A police spokesperson urged individuals with any information, including eyewitnesses or individuals possessing dashcam or CCTV footage of the incident, to come forward to assist with the ongoing investigation.
