Sky TV customers in the UK are in for a pleasant surprise as the company has rolled out a complimentary upgrade to include Disney+ in their subscriptions. The upgrade is part of the revamped Sky Ultimate plan, offering access to a range of popular content from Pixar, Star Wars, Disney, and Marvel without any additional charges.
In addition to Disney+, Sky is set to introduce HBO Max Basic and Hayu to its lineup. The integration of Disney+ content across Sky Glass, Sky Stream, and Sky Q platforms will provide a seamless viewing experience through features like Continue Watching, search, and voice control.
Moreover, Sky Cinema subscribers will benefit from a new Disney+ Cinema channel. For non-Sky customers, the Sky Ultimate package is available for £24 per month, offering a comprehensive selection of services including Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max Basic, Hayu, and over 130 Sky channels.
Sophia Ahmad, Sky’s Chief Consumer Officer, emphasized the significance of the update in uniting Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu under one subscription. Existing customers will enjoy the expanded content lineup at no extra cost, while NOW Entertainment users will receive HBO Max within the app without additional charges.
Sky’s latest changes aim to streamline streaming services and enhance the overall viewing experience for subscribers.
