Shocking video footage shared widely on social platforms has captured a scandalous moment involving a priest topless with a parishioner’s fiancée on church premises.
Father Luciano Braga Simplício, in charge of Nossa Senhora Aparecida Parish in Nova Maringá, Brazil, was discovered in a compromising situation with a congregant in a state of undress. The incident, recorded on video, has caused a stir on social media, with no official statement from the priest as of yet.
The family of the bride-to-be has also refrained from commenting on the matter. The video shows the groom breaking into the bedroom and bathroom after Simplício refused to open the doors, revealing the distressed bride under the sink.
The Diocese of Diamantino (MT) has initiated an investigation into the priest’s behavior and released a statement confirming the implementation of appropriate canonical measures in response.
An audio recording has surfaced online where Simplício attempts to explain the presence of the woman in the parish house. He claims she requested to use a room for changing and showering after her church duties, denying any inappropriate intentions.
In a separate case, it was revealed that former priest Christopher Brain, leader of the Nine O’Clock Service (NOS) in Sheffield, was accused of numerous sexual assaults on female congregants during his time at the church between 1986 and 1995. Brain allegedly abused his position of power within the church to exploit and assault multiple women, as disclosed during court proceedings.
