A woman, identified as Catherine Ommanney, 53, who previously had a romantic relationship with Prince Harry, was recently apprehended in Majorca for allegedly departing from a hotel without settling a bill amounting to nearly £450.
Reports indicate that the reality TV personality was arrested on suspicion of fraud following claims by a hotel manager in Santa Ponsa that she departed from the three-star Playas del Rey Hotel without paying for a nine-day stay, accumulating over €500 (£434).
Law enforcement authorities have confirmed the arrest, stating that Catherine, known for her role in the Real Housewives of DC, appeared before a judge in Palma soon after the incident. She was subsequently released on bail pending further investigation.
According to local sources, Catherine allegedly made a reservation using a card that had insufficient funds. Her court appearance details have not been fully disclosed, and she has not commented on the situation following her release.
In recent revelations, Catherine disclosed details of a brief romantic encounter with Prince Harry in 2006, emphasizing his gentlemanly behavior and their friendly interactions in subsequent years. However, she maintains that the allegations against her are baseless, asserting that the hotel bill was settled and addressing the issue as a technical misunderstanding.
The hotel’s management has not provided a statement on the matter, and court officials are yet to confirm the status of the investigation or any resolutions reached.
