Pierce Brosnan recently shared his thoughts on retirement after his participation in the biopic film “Giant,” which portrays the story of boxer Prince Naseem Hamed, played by Amir El Masry, with Brosnan taking on the role of Brendan Ingle, Hamed’s former coach.
The movie chronicles Hamed’s rise from a working-class upbringing in Sheffield to becoming a world featherweight champion, with Brendan’s mentorship playing a crucial role in his success both in and out of the ring.
Having experienced a humble childhood himself, Brosnan moved to London with his mother at the age of 11 to pursue a career in acting. Over the years, he has amassed an impressive portfolio of work in movies and TV shows, including iconic roles in James Bond, Mrs. Doubtfire, Remington Steele, Mamma Mia!, and The Son.
Reflecting on Hamed’s early retirement at 28, Brosnan emphasized his commitment to staying active in his career at the age of 72, citing the importance of the creative process in keeping him engaged and fulfilled.
