Tommy Fleetwood has expressed his approval of Brooks Koepka’s comeback to the PGA Tour while mentioning that LIV Golf has not approached him during this postseason period. Koepka recently left the Saudi-backed tour and will be making his comeback at the Farmers Insurance Open next week, providing a significant boost to the PGA Tour.

The pressure is now on LIV Golf to retain their other key players, as Patrick Reed has hinted that he may also return to the PGA Tour. Fleetwood, currently ranked No.3 in the world, praised the PGA Tour for its exceptional events and substantial prize money, emphasizing his gratitude for being able to compete in such prestigious tournaments.

Fleetwood, who secured a $10 million prize for winning his first PGA Tour event, is now eyeing his first Major victory. He emphasized the importance of aligning goals and dreams with the choice of where to play, highlighting the significance of playing in a place that fosters personal growth and achievement.

LIV Golf, funded by Newcastle’s owners the Public Investment Fund, made significant investments in their initial seasons, with Koepka and Rahm being among the high-profile signings. The current season sees less high-profile signings, including Victor Perez, Laurie Canter, Thomas Detrie, Elvis Smylie, and Ben An, with Anthony Kim joining as a wildcard qualifier.

Fleetwood also mentioned that LIV Golf did not approach him during this postseason, acknowledging the trend of talented golfers opting to join the new tour. Shane Lowry, Fleetwood’s Ryder Cup teammate, commented on Koepka’s swift return to the PGA Tour and its positive impact on the tour’s smaller events.

Lowry also shared his thoughts on his recent performance at the Dubai Invitational, expressing his determination to bounce back from the disappointing 72nd-hole double bogey that cost him a shot at victory.
