Peppa Pig, Wicked dolls, Formula 1 Lego, and Hot Wheels have been identified as essential toys for the upcoming holiday season. Industry experts and toy retailers have unveiled the anticipated best-selling products for the 2025 DreamToys list.
Among these items is the Peppa Pig Oinks & Snuggles Evie Doll, offering more than 20 interactive sounds and accompanying accessories such as a playmat, bottle, dummy, bib, and blanket. Kids can also enjoy their own pet dinosaur with the Jurassic World Primal Hatch T.Rex, requiring them to hatch the dinosaur from an egg shell and care for it.
Additionally, the Wicked For Good Singing Dolls are expected to perform well, coinciding with the release of the final movie in the franchise this month. Celebrating the 75th anniversary of Formula 1, the list includes Lego and Mattel’s Hot Wheels Racing F1 Grand Prix Circuit, along with the Monster Jam Smash & Bash Grave Digger RC.
Collectibles like Dress to Impress Mystery Model Dolls, Mini Brands – Fill the Fridge Playset, and Pokemon are also featured. Building sets, particularly Lego, continue to be popular, with sets like Speed Champions F1 Racing Cars and the One Piece the Going Merry Pirate Ship making the list.
The UK toy market is valued at £3.9 billion, with Christmas sales projected to make up 23% of total annual sales. Parents have increased their spending on children’s gifts by 12% compared to the previous year, marking the fourth consecutive year of growth, according to The Insights Family.
Paul Reader, chairman of the DreamToys selection panel at the Toy Retailers Association, expressed excitement over this year’s diverse range of toys that inspire creativity and imagination. Melissa Symonds, executive director of UK toys at Circana, highlighted the positive growth in the toy market after a period of stagnation, indicating a promising outlook for toy manufacturers and retailers heading into the crucial holiday shopping season.
