The swimmer, who met Holly on Strictly Come Dancing in 2021, had hoped to propose during a romantic Greek getaway after receiving Gordon Ramsay’s blessing. However, a mix-up led him to book the wrong restaurant, resulting in a busy setting rather than the intimate atmosphere he desired. Despite this setback, Peaty persevered, eventually finding a suitable spot at their private villa to propose to Holly.
Following the engagement, Holly expressed her joy on Instagram, proclaiming Adam as her best friend and future husband. Peaty, in return, expressed his gratitude for having such a caring and beautiful partner by his side. This engagement marks a significant milestone for Peaty, who has openly discussed his struggles with mental health and alcoholism post-Commonwealth Games.
