Most of the major TV and internet providers in the UK have recently raised prices in 2025, with the bulk of the increases taking effect in April. Sky has now announced another price hike, particularly affecting users of its NOW broadband service.

Earlier in May, it was confirmed that certain users would be facing higher costs, and now, these changes are set to come into effect on July 4. Customers who have subscribed to the Brilliant Broadband, Fab Fibre, and Super Fibre plans through NOW will see an additional £3 per month added to their bills.

Acknowledging the dissatisfaction that the price increase may cause, a spokesperson from NOW mentioned, “We understand that price increases are never welcome. However, to continue enhancing and investing in our services, adjustments to pricing are necessary.”

Initially, NOW had stated that users could cancel their service without any charges within 31 days of being informed about the hike. Customers still within this timeframe can switch to a different provider without facing early termination fees to avoid the extra cost.

NOW has emphasized that the price adjustments are a result of the company’s ongoing efforts to improve its offerings and services, as well as the rising cost pressures it faces, including wholesale expenses and investments in service enhancements.

For NOW customers, it is advisable to review their contracts. Even for non-NOW users, exploring alternative providers like BT, Virgin, and Sky can yield competitive options. Additionally, emerging smaller networks across the UK often provide faster speeds at more affordable rates.

For instance, Community Fibre is currently offering three months of free broadband. To explore available Internet Service Providers (ISPs) in your area, utilize Ofcom’s postcode checker for potentially faster downloads and cost savings.
