After six years of being missing, a man has been discovered deceased in a national park.
The body of Jordan Moray was located on the Brecon Beacon last week, and his family has confirmed that he was found close to the Llwyn On Reservoir. Mr. Moray was first reported missing in 2019, after he was last seen at his residence in Rhondda Cynon Taf.
Throughout the past six years, Mr. Moray’s family made multiple pleas for information on his whereabouts, hoping that someone would come forward.
Today, his brother Josh confirmed that human remains were stumbled upon by a hiker in the Brecon Beacons, Bannau Brycheniog, on August 29. It has now been verified that these remains belong to Mr. Moray.
In a tribute to him, Josh expressed that Jordan, who would have turned 38, was not just a brother but also his closest companion with whom he shared everything.
He further stated: “His absence has left a huge void in my life and always will. Now, my parents can finally lay him to rest. Love you, Jordan Moray, looking forward to reuniting with you, big bro.”
A South Wales Police spokesperson mentioned: “On Friday, August 29, 2025, a report was received regarding the discovery of human remains in a remote area near Llwyn On Reservoir in the Brecon Beacons.
“It has been confirmed that these remains are of Jordan Moray, who was reported missing in July 2019 from his residence in Cwmbach, Aberdare.
“The coroner has been informed, and the death is not considered suspicious. Jordan’s family has been notified, and they have requested privacy during this challenging period.”
