Emergency services responded to a restaurant in Greater Manchester after multiple customers became unwell. The incident took place on Northenden Road, Sale, with police arriving on September 6 to attend to the affected diners.

The customers, who experienced varying degrees of illness, were treated on-site by emergency services. While most had minor reactions, one individual was more severely impacted. Investigations are ongoing, and emergency responders spent considerable time managing the situation at the scene.

Despite initial concerns of a gas leak, this possibility was swiftly ruled out. Reports indicate that around eight people fell ill, with one person suffering more serious consequences. By the evening of the same day, the police had left, but representatives from Trafford Council and the Health and Safety Executive remained present.

A spokesperson from Greater Manchester Police confirmed receiving a report of illness at the restaurant and stated that enquiries are underway. Although the restaurant was not identified by the authorities, it is believed to be related to food consumed at Dosa Kingss, a South Indian eatery.

Following the incident, Dosa Kingss issued a statement on social media, announcing a temporary closure due to unforeseen circumstances. The restaurant expressed regret for any inconvenience and thanked customers for their support. The connection between this closure and the earlier incident remains unclear.

The Mirror has reached out to Dosa Kingss for comment on the matter.
