Despite the lack of leads and suspects in the case, Brooks-Murray clarified in an exclusive interview with CBC News and The Globe and Mail that she is not involved in their disappearance and maintains hope for their safe return.
The disappearance of Jack and Lilly Sullivan on May 2, 2025, prompted a massive search effort in Nova Scotia, involving over 1,700 search-and-rescue personnel covering 8.5 square kilometers of rugged terrain. Brooks-Murray recounted the events leading up to their disappearance, emphasizing that she had no role in it and continues to cooperate with authorities, having undergone polygraph tests and extensive questioning.
While Brooks-Murray trusts the ongoing investigation by the RCMP’s Major Crime Unit, she expressed frustration with the lack of progress and communication. She remains optimistic about her children’s survival and actively participates in initiatives to raise awareness about their case.
