Molly-Mae Hague achieved a significant milestone in her career on Wednesday night at the 2025 National Television Awards by winning the Best Authored Documentary award for her Amazon Prime series, “Molly-Mae: Behind It All.”

The 26-year-old former Love Island star was surprised and overjoyed when she was announced as the winner, surpassing competitors like Strictly Come Dancing’s Amy Dowden and Rob Burrow.

After her breakup with her fiancé, professional boxer Tommy Fury, Molly-Mae’s documentary chronicled her journey of healing and coping with heartbreak in the public eye.

Her six-part series, which quickly became a hit on the streaming service upon its debut in January, delved into Molly-Mae’s challenges as a parent and offered a candid look at co-parenting her two-year-old daughter Bambi with Tommy, who was dealing with alcohol-related issues at the time.

Despite facing tough competition, critics argued that Molly-Mae’s documentary was not as emotionally compelling as the other nominees, such as Amy Dowden’s cancer battle documentary, Freddie Flintoff’s near-fatal crash story, and Rob Burrow’s motor neurone disease journey.

While accepting the award, Molly-Mae dedicated her win to Rob Burrow, emphasizing that his story was more inspirational than hers and expressing gratitude for being nominated alongside such remarkable individuals.

In a post-win interview, Molly-Mae highlighted the personal significance of dedicating the award to Rob due to her connection to the cause of motor neurone disease, which resonates deeply with her.

Following her victory, Molly-Mae expressed her gratitude for the recognition and acknowledged the strength and inspiration of her fellow nominees, thanking her supporters for their votes.

She also encouraged readers to follow Mirror Celebs on various social media platforms for more updates and content.
