McDonald’s has reintroduced its popular Monopoly game for the year 2025, offering the chance for UK residents to win a variety of exciting prizes in the upcoming weeks. The special menu, which includes both classic favorites and new items like the Loaded Caramel McFlurry, is now available in all McDonald’s restaurants.

Launched initially in 2006, this fast-food challenge in the UK is structured similar to the traditional Monopoly board game and offers two primary ways to win. The first method involves finding ‘instant win’ stickers on select food items, often resulting in complimentary items from the restaurant.

The second method, which is more complex, requires collecting various stickers, including properties, that can be scanned and stored in the McDonald’s UK app. Upon completing a full property set, participants can win Collect to Win prizes based on the color set they have collected.

McDonald’s has revealed that players have a one in four chance of winning an instant prize during the game. Participants must be at least 18 years old to take part, and they also have the opportunity to win up to £100,000 in cash.

Money Saving Expert (MSE) at Martin Lewis advises participants on three key steps to potentially increase their chances of winning. To enhance your odds, it is crucial to differentiate between ‘rare’ and ‘common’ stickers, though McDonald’s has not disclosed which are harder to find this year. MSE has compiled a list of previously scarce stickers that may be valuable to keep an eye out for.

MSE emphasizes the importance of being vigilant when visiting McDonald’s, as some customers may leave unfinished meals or trash on tables that could contain unpeeled stickers. While taking advantage of such opportunities may be beneficial, it is essential to note that this practice, known as “wombling,” may not be allowed by all companies, including McDonald’s.

During the promotional period, customers are advised by MSE to make smart choices when ordering food, as not all menu items will feature Monopoly stickers. Specific items, like Chicken Selects and certain burgers, carry stickers, while others, like nuggets, do not.

McDonald’s has stickered a total of 18 menu items for the challenge, offering participants various opportunities to collect stickers and win prizes. For more information, visit the McDonald’s website.
