Over a day has gone by since Charlie Kirk, a prominent conservative figure, was fatally shot in front of a large audience of Utah Valley University students during a speaking engagement. Authorities are actively seeking a “person of interest” linked to the incident.
Law enforcement in the United States are pursuing various leads and have received over 200 tips from the public in their search for the individual responsible for Charlie Kirk’s death. The FBI has offered a $100,000 reward for any information that leads to the apprehension of the perpetrator(s) behind the murder.

Despite a postponement of a scheduled press conference due to ongoing developments, the wanted person captured on campus security cameras remains at large. Additional detailed images of the individual have been made public by the Utah Public Safety department.
Video footage from campus security cameras shows the suspect, dressed in a black long-sleeved T-shirt with an American flag design, blue pants, and Converse-style shoes, walking through a stairwell. He is seen concealing his face with a cap and sunglasses while carrying a full backpack.
Federal agents and local police are collaborating in the search for the suspect, believed to be a college-age individual. This age group may have facilitated the suspect’s escape following the tragic incident involving Charlie Kirk, a well-known figure in the MAGA movement.
Following the shooting incident that took place at Utah Valley University, where Charlie Kirk was addressing the audience, authorities detained and then released two individuals shortly after the incident. It is suspected that the shot was fired from a rooftop located approximately 200 meters away from where Kirk was speaking, causing panic among the students in attendance.
A high-caliber rifle believed to be the weapon used in the shooting was found in nearby woods along with a footprint, which is currently undergoing forensic analysis. Meanwhile, Charlie Kirk’s body is being transported back to his family residence in Phoenix, Arizona, with Vice President JD Vance personally accompanying the remains on Air Force Two.
JD Vance, a close friend and political ally of Charlie Kirk, expressed his sorrow over the loss and attributed his own political achievements to Kirk. In a poignant moment, Vance escorted Kirk’s casket onto the plane, flanked by military personnel, paying his respects to his departed friend.
