Kristin Cabot, who was captured in a close moment with her former employer Andy Byron on a kiss cam at a Coldplay concert, has reportedly initiated divorce proceedings with her spouse. This development follows a scandal that unfolded after the video footage surfaced on social platforms.
During a Coldplay concert in the US on their Music of the Spheres tour back in July, two individuals were spotted being affectionate. These individuals were later revealed to be coworkers Kristin and Andy, who were reportedly in relationships with other people.
At that time, Andy held the position of CEO at tech company Astronomer, while Kristin served as the Head of HR. Following the incident, Astronomer announced Andy’s resignation, and subsequently, reports emerged that Kristin also resigned from her role.
According to reports from the Daily Mail, Kristin and her husband Andrew Cabot, married since 2023, are now in the process of divorcing. Allegedly, Kristin submitted the divorce petition in a New Hampshire court on August 13, less than a month after the scandal came to light.
Sources indicate that the alleged affair served as the breaking point in Kristin’s marriage to Andrew. A source revealed, “The family has been experiencing marital issues for several months and had contemplated separation.”
The controversy began when footage from a Coldplay concert at the Gillette Stadium in Boston went viral due to a moment on the kiss cam. Initially shared on TikTok, the video showed two attendees on a balcony, seemingly enjoying the music and holding hands.
During the concert, Coldplay member Chris Martin acknowledged the pair, jokingly suggesting they were either having an affair or simply shy. The audience initially laughed as the couple reacted to being on the kiss cam, with later cheers and whistles as Chris playfully addressed the situation.
Chris hinted that the ‘kiss cam’ would continue during the tour, reaffirming the band’s engagement with audiences. In a subsequent concert in the UK, Chris referenced the scandal that occurred in Boston, acknowledging the audience member’s presence after the previous incident.
He emphasized the band’s commitment to interacting with fans despite challenges, stating, “Life throws you lemons, and you’ve got to make lemonade. So, we are going to keep doing it because we are going to meet some of you.”
