Former Celebs Go Dating personality, Helen Flanagan, has lowered the price of her previous shared mansion with Scott Sinclair, following its listing. This marks the second price reduction in four months for the property.
Helen, aged 35, disclosed her intention to relocate in April during a podcast, after residing at the residence near Bolton for four years with Scott, aged 36, and their three children, before their separation in 2022.
Expressing her plans to downsize and start anew, the former Coronation Street actress acknowledged the challenges of maintaining the large property. Consequently, the house was put up for sale.
Recently, the asking price was slashed to £995,000. The mansion, boasting six bedrooms, was last purchased for £840,000 in 2021. Helen previously invested significantly in renovating the house, stating, “I put a lot of my savings into doing the house up and stuff, and making it look really beautiful.”
As per reports from the Daily Mail, Helen listed the property in May, with this week’s reduction marking the second time she has dropped the price of the £1.5 million mansion since its initial listing four months ago.
The publication indicates that she initially reduced the price to around £1.2 million after four weeks. It is speculated that after accounting for taxes and legal fees, she may barely break even from the initial purchase price of £840,000 four years ago.
Despite previous discussions about financial struggles, Helen clarified that the decision to sell the house was not driven by financial difficulties. She emphasized the need for a fresh start in a different living environment.
In a podcast earlier this year, Helen mentioned a desire for a more manageable living space and hinted at seeking change after facing challenging years. She described her current home as a substantial undertaking to upkeep.
Helen’s relocation plans come amid her candid discussions on mental health and financial challenges. She has emphasized the need for change and a fresh start in her living arrangements.
