A six-year-old girl sustained a brain injury when a children’s playground ride collapsed. The incident occurred at a birthday party in Ulan-Ude city, located in Russia’s Siberia region. While three girls were on the carousel, a metal part shaped like a tree fell on one of them, causing her to lose consciousness. The other children quickly left the Kovboy play center where the accident happened.
The Russian Investigative Committee has initiated a criminal inquiry into the incident. According to a statement released, a significant piece of the carousel structure fell on the young girl, necessitating her hospitalization due to injuries. Local reports mentioned that she suffered a traumatic brain injury and concussion. The individuals accountable for the malfunctioning ride could potentially face a maximum of two years in prison.
This tragic occurrence follows the recent mourning of a 12-year-old boy who tragically fell from a roundabout at a playground with a history of accidents. Logan Carter passed away last month after an incident at the Wharton Recreation Ground in Winsford, Cheshire. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, Logan succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Reports suggest that he was thrown from the roundabout, with local claims indicating the use of an e-bike to rotate it.
In a heartfelt statement, Logan’s family described him as a cherished son, brother, grandson, great-grandson, cousin, and friend known for his infectious personality and warm smile. They emphasized his zest for life, ability to bring joy to those around him, and the immense void his absence has left in their lives.
The family expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support received and requested privacy as they cope with the loss of their beloved Logan.
