Noel and Liam Gallagher have faced criticism from an online fashion retailer, who has accused Oasis of being “free riders” for attempting to trademark the band’s logo. The clothing brand Oasis has opposed the band’s trademark application, claiming the logo is too similar to their own and goes against their principles. However, the Gallagher brothers have sought legal representation, specifically turning to Beck Greener to defend their case.

Reportedly, the siblings are seeking to use the trademarked logo featuring white lettering on a black background on various products, including clothing lines, toys, and cosmetics. It is believed that Liam, 52, and Noel, 48, are determined to fight for their rights in this matter.

A source close to the situation disclosed that Noel and Liam are standing their ground and are optimistic about the outcome. If mediation efforts fail to reach a resolution, the case will proceed to a tribunal for further adjudication.

The online retailer, now operating solely on the internet after once being a prominent high street name, argues that if Oasis succeeds in obtaining the trademark, they would unfairly benefit from leveraging the opponent’s brand reputation, potentially boosting their sales.

While this legal battle unfolds, the Gallagher brothers continue their comeback tour, having recently completed a successful run in the UK and Ireland before moving on to the United States. Amidst their performances in the US, anticipation builds for their upcoming show in Mexico over the weekend.

Kirsty McCormack, Deputy Entertainment Editor for The Mirror US, shared her firsthand experience of attending an Oasis concert in the US, expressing the unique thrill of being part of a crowd united by their love for the band. Kirsty mentioned a noticeable difference in the atmosphere compared to UK shows, with American audiences appearing more reserved.

Reflecting on the contrast, Kirsty acknowledged the distinct energy of Oasis concerts and how the band’s music tends to bring out a different level of enthusiasm in fans. Despite the subdued vibe at the US performance, she still appreciated the opportunity to witness the iconic band live on stage.
