Former heartthrob John Alford, known for his work in the nineties, is now facing eight and a half years in prison as a convicted sex offender. Using his real name, John Shannon, the ex-actor was found guilty of sexually assaulting two teenage girls, aged 14 and 15, at a residence in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire, in April 2022. Despite denying the accusations during the trial, Alford, 54, was convicted in September, visibly distraught as the verdict was announced.
Following the trial, Alford received an eight and a half-year sentence for offenses including sexual activity with a child, penetrative sexual activity with a child, assault by penetration, and sexual assault.
