Former Coronation Street actress Georgia May Foote shared her experience dealing with her autoimmune condition, vitiligo, which causes lighter patches on her skin due to a lack of melanin. In a social media interaction with fans, she mentioned the challenges of living with the condition, noting that it fluctuates between good and bad days.

Georgia, 34, disclosed that her vitiligo has been progressively spreading, with the winter months making it less noticeable due to the absence of tanning. She posted a selfie revealing the vitiligo patches on her elbow, indicating that the condition has also affected other areas of her body.

Having been diagnosed with vitiligo two years ago, Georgia has been actively updating her followers on her journey with the condition. She emphasized the importance of raising awareness about vitiligo, which she developed in 2020.

The actress explained that the condition initially started with small spots but has since become more widespread, affecting her hands, arms, elbows, and even her face. Despite the challenges, Georgia expressed gratitude for being in a position to raise awareness and help others facing similar conditions.

In addition to her health struggles, Georgia has faced personal turmoil, including the destruction of her beauty salon in a fire and the end of her marriage to Kris after two years. Despite these challenges, Georgia continues to engage with her fans and maintain a positive outlook on her journey.

Georgia gained fame for her role as Katie Armstrong in Coronation Street and had a brief stint with her Strictly Come Dancing partner Giovanni Pernice in 2015. However, their relationship ended after a year, with Georgia emphasizing that they remained friends and focused on their respective careers.
