The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) has decided not to take any disciplinary action against Fallon Sherrock for her behavior during her recent match against Dave Chisnall at the World Championship. Sherrock playfully mimicked an incident involving her former partner, Cameron Menzies, who had a heated reaction after losing his match earlier in the competition.
Menzies, who was visibly upset following his defeat to Charlie Manby, received support from PDC chief executive Matt Porter. Porter emphasized the availability of assistance from the PDC and the PDPA for Menzies, underscoring the organizations’ commitment to the players’ well-being.
Both Sherrock and Menzies faced early exits from the tournament. Sherrock struggled with her doubles accuracy against Chisnall, resulting in a 3-0 loss. Meanwhile, Menzies, the 26th seed, relinquished a lead to eventually lose 3-2 to Manby. Menzies attributed his emotional response to personal challenges, including the recent passing of his uncle.
Chisnall, after defeating Sherrock, acknowledged her competitive performance and suggested that the match outcome could have been different if Sherrock had capitalized on her opportunities. He praised the crowd for their support and will advance to face Ricardo Pietreczko in the next round.
The World Championship action continues with seeded players like Josh Rock and Nathan Aspinall participating in Friday’s matches. Additionally, rising star Beau Greaves will debut against Daryl Gurney, with the winner set to face Callan Rydz in the following round.
As the tournament progresses, the excitement builds with defending champion Luke Littler and his rival Luke Humphries vying for the title. The event promises thrilling matches, featuring top contenders and rising stars, making it a must-watch for darts enthusiasts.
