The renowned Shout singer is the mother of 48-year-old Jordan, whom she shares with her former husband, celebrity hairstylist John Frieda. Lulu, 75, was married to John, 74, from 1977 to 1991, following her previous marriage to Bee Gees legend Maurice Gibb.
In a candid conversation on Matt Willis’ podcast, Lulu discussed her battle with alcohol dependency. She disclosed that she has been sober since November 3, 2013, realizing that alcoholism is an illness and not a reflection of her character.
Reflecting on her journey to recovery, Lulu expressed relief in understanding that she could change her situation. She credits meditation for helping her overcome her struggles and negative self-perception.
During a recent podcast with psychotherapist Julia Samuel, Lulu shared insights into her relationship with Jordan, revealing that he finds it too painful to listen to her interviews. Despite past challenges, Lulu emphasized the growing closeness between her and Jordan and her desire to make amends.
