Jeffrey Epstein’s sibling, Mark, has asserted that forthcoming autopsy revelations will reveal that the disgraced financier was murdered in 2019, refuting the official ruling of suicide. Mark, who identified Epstein’s body, recently stated in an interview that new information will confirm foul play in his brother’s demise.

During a NewsNation interview, Mark, aged 71, declared, “Jeffrey was murdered, and additional autopsy findings set to be disclosed in February will substantiate this claim.” He emphasized that the injuries observed on Epstein’s body did not align with the reported hanging scenario.

Following Epstein’s death, Mark enlisted the services of former NYC chief medical examiner, Dr. Michael Baden, to review the autopsy conducted by city officials. Dr. Baden’s 2019 assessment suggested homicide as the cause of death, contradicting the official suicide conclusion.

Despite a 2023 Department of Justice inspector general report attributing the death to multiple prison oversight failures and ruling out external involvement, suspicions persist that Epstein’s demise was orchestrated to shield his influential connections.

Mark emphasized in the NewsNation interview, “There are only three possible outcomes in a prison death: suicide, natural causes, or murder. Jeff was murdered. I am determined to uncover the perpetrator and their motives.”

In a separate development, Ghislaine Maxwell, serving a 20-year sentence for her involvement in Epstein’s illicit activities, shared her disbelief in Epstein’s suicide during a deposition to deputy attorney general Todd Blanche in 2025. Maxwell denied the suicide theory and expressed uncertainty regarding the identity of the potential perpetrator.

Maxwell highlighted the dangers within prison environments, where inmates could be incentivized to harm others for minimal compensation. She dismissed external conspiracy theories but speculated that any foul play would likely originate internally.

Furthermore, Maxwell dismissed suggestions of a plot to silence Epstein, emphasizing the implausibility of such a scenario outside a prison setting. She contended that if individuals sought to harm Epstein for leverage or other reasons, they would have had ample opportunities prior to his incarceration.

This narrative challenges the official suicide ruling, underscoring the persistent uncertainties surrounding Epstein’s death and the diverging perspectives on the circumstances leading to his demise.
