The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are gearing up to resume their royal duties after a seven-week break, coinciding with their children’s return to school for the new academic year.

Their most recent public appearance was at the Wimbledon Championships on July 13, accompanied by Prince George and Princess Charlotte. As George, Charlotte, and Prince Louis start a new school year at Lambrook, William and Kate are set to make an official appearance at London’s Natural History Museum tomorrow.

Kensington Palace announced the royal couple’s visit to the museum’s revitalized gardens on Thursday, marking their return to work following a summer break at Balmoral. Princess Kate, the museum’s patron, and William will explore the gardens, engage with youth involved in nature-based programs, and learn about the museum’s conservation efforts using advanced technology.

Both William and Kate are passionate about environmental preservation and youth education. William founded the Earthshot Prize, a global environmental initiative, while Kate champions nature appreciation through her “Mother Nature” video series and personal experiences with nature during her cancer treatment.

Their upcoming appearance will be their first since attending a church service near Balmoral with their children. The royal family traditionally attends services at Crathie Kirk during summer stays at Balmoral, a practice established during Queen Elizabeth’s reign.

As their children start the new school year, William and Kate will continue their efforts in environmental conservation and youth education, embodying values important to them. George, Charlotte, and Louis attend a nearby prep school, with George set to transition to secondary school after this academic year.
