Luke Littler expressed uncertainty about his performance at the upcoming Flanders Open tournament following emergency dental treatment in Manchester. The 18-year-old had a tooth extraction after enduring prolonged pain. Normally dominating the darts scene, Littler was taken aback by the dental procedure but remains determined as he heads to Belgium for the European Tour event in Antwerp to pursue his third title.

Sharing his dental ordeal on Instagram, Littler mentioned the pain he endured and hoped for a swift recovery before the tournament. Despite the discomfort, he expressed his love for Belgium and his eagerness to showcase his best darts.

In a message to his followers, Littler hinted at potential discomfort post-surgery but assured he would focus on his preparations without much social interaction during his journey. He emphasized his unfamiliarity with the situation and asked for understanding as he copes with the aftermath of the dental procedure.

Scheduled to face either Dylan Slevin or Francois Schweyen in the tournament, Littler is not the only player with a dramatic lead-up. Gerwyn Price, the 2020 world champion, faced a health scare with a swollen hand that required hospitalization earlier in the week. Despite the setback, Price intends to compete in Belgium, aiming to secure back-to-back victories on the PDC European Tour.

Price, who triumphed at the Baltic Sea Darts Open, eyes a consecutive win that would mark a significant achievement in European darts history. The Welshman’s resilience in the face of adversity underscores his determination to claim the £30,000 prize and solidify his dominance in the sport.

In other news, Sky has introduced a discounted Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle ahead of the 2025/26 season, providing access to over 1,400 live matches from the Premier League, EFL, and more. With at least 215 live Premier League games set to be broadcast next season, the offer presents an attractive opportunity for sports enthusiasts.
