Alan Warriner has criticized ITV, claiming they left him uninformed about being removed from their darts coverage team despite him already announcing his departure. The former darts player alleges that after 20 years with the broadcaster, he only found out about his dismissal when ITV revealed their 2026 coverage team through a social media video posted by the PDC. The video introduced Pete Graves and Gabbie Partington as the presenters, with Mark Webster and Wayne Mardle as pundits, but noticeably excluded Warriner.
Expressing his disappointment, Warriner shared the video and stated his frustration at not being informed after two decades of service. A darts enthusiast pointed out that Warriner had publicly bid farewell to ITV in November 2025. In a previous post, Warriner had thanked ITV for 18 years of collaboration and expressed his emotions about leaving the network.
ITV recently secured a three-year deal with the PDC to broadcast various major darts tournaments until 2028, ensuring fans can watch these events for free on the channel. The coverage will include tournaments like the World Masters, the UK Open, and the Players Championship Finals. Alongside the announced team members, Mark Wilson and Dan Dawson will provide commentary, with Glen Durrant contributing expert analysis.
Pete Graves and Glen Durrant shared their excitement about joining the new ITV darts team, with Graves expressing his enthusiasm for presenting the upcoming World Masters event. Durrant also expressed his delight at being part of the team for the Minehead UK Open tournament.
