A beloved dancer and choreographer from Dancing With The Stars passed away at the age of 47 in Curitiba. Léo Blanco was discovered unresponsive in his residence on Friday, with the cause of his death still under investigation.
Léo, who hailed from Cascavel in southern Brazil, was a prominent figure on the Brazilian rendition of Dancing With The Stars, known as Dança dos Famosos, akin to the popular show Strictly Come Dancing.
Mariana Xavier, an actress who partnered with Léo in 2017, mourned his loss on social media, highlighting his pivotal role in fulfilling their shared dance aspirations. She described him as a kind and generous individual who left a lasting impact even when they were not in constant contact.
Having been immersed in dance since a young age, Léo also excelled as a personal trainer. His passion for dance blossomed during his university years, where he spearheaded two dance troupes. His breakthrough came when he joined Dança dos Famosos.
Apart from Mariana, Léo danced with singer Luisa Sonza, and together they reached the ninth spot before elimination. In 2020, he partnered with Lucy Ramos during her victorious stint, later handing over the reins to fellow dancer Reginaldo Sama.
In the wake of his passing, fans and friends inundated his social media profiles with heartfelt tributes, reminiscing about his amiable nature and engaging conversations. Many expressed disbelief and sorrow over the loss of such a beloved figure in the world of dance.
Known for sharing glimpses of his fitness journey, Léo often delighted fans with shirtless snapshots showcasing his sculpted physique, alongside gym updates and holiday escapades such as a recent visit to Rio De Janeiro.
