Bargain seeker Jordon Cox has shared a clever hack to uncover a “hidden code” that signals the impending expiration of a deal at Tesco. Cox, known as the Coupon King on ITV’s This Morning, regularly imparts money-saving advice on social media platforms.
In a recent video, Cox decoded that items on a Clubcard Price promotion at Tesco feature a six-digit code indicating the offer’s expiry date. By examining the code, which begins with 25, in reverse and in pairs, shoppers can discern the expiration date: the last two digits represent the day, the middle two the month, and the first two the year.
This revelation coincides with Tesco’s reminder to customers to utilize their Clubcard vouchers before £16.5 million worth expire by November 30. Shoppers earn Clubcard points for every pound spent at Tesco stores, online, on fuel at Tesco petrol stations, on Tesco Mobile purchases, and using Tesco credit cards or Clubcard Pay+ debit cards.
To redeem a Clubcard voucher worth £1.50 at Tesco, a minimum of 150 points is required. Presently, more than 24 million UK households hold a Tesco Clubcard.
Tesco’s Group Membership and Loyalty Director, Shama Wilson, emphasized the importance of utilizing Clubcard vouchers promptly, highlighting the substantial value of expiring vouchers and the enticing rewards available through Clubcard Rewards. Customers are encouraged to check the Tesco app for any expiring vouchers to benefit from offers like Tesco Tuesdays, which could provide millions of cinema tickets or substantial reward codes for dining at PizzaExpress.
