Renowned Winterwatch host, Chris Packham, recently disclosed the rationale behind his unconventional living arrangement with his partner of 17 years, Charlotte Corney. Despite their longstanding relationship, Chris, aged 64, relocated to his residence in New Forest, Hampshire, four years ago after an extended stay in Southampton.
In contrast, Charlotte, serving as the founder and trustee of the Wildheart Trust, resides and operates on the Isle of Wight. Reflecting on his decision to move to New Forest, Chris expressed his deep-seated affection for the area since childhood, citing its abundant wildlife as a key attraction.
Addressing inquiries about Charlotte residing with him, Chris noted, “She spends considerably more time here now than before. She cherishes her distinct residence in East Cowes, Isle of Wight, which offers a contrasting environment.”
During a Homing podcast, Chris highlighted his preference for solitude, attributing it to his autism. He emphasized the importance of personal space and solitude in nurturing his well-being, noting that he and Charlotte acknowledge the significance of individual time apart within their relationship.
Furthermore, Chris disclosed details of an independent trip to Spain, underscoring their differing travel preferences. The couple’s initial encounter occurred in 2007 when Chris visited the Isle of Wight Zoo for a filming project.
